New format for 1P and 2P classes

We have had great success with academic, university and college streams using the flipped classroom.  Our struggles continue to be in the 1P and 2P classrooms.  Our new model for the 1P and 2P classroom is as follows:

• ALL students will watch the video at the same time on iPads (to be determined by the teacher) and take the note with the teacher circulating to ensure staying on task and completing the note.  (For students who are motivated and are working ahead they will be participating in this exercise but may be on a future note.)
• ALL students then will work on assigned work or journals from either the current lesson or the previous lesson they were attempting to complete.

Rationale:  We were providing too much freedom and latitude in our previous model to a group of students who have not ALL matured to a point where they can self-regulate.  Students were not watching all the videos prior to assessments nor were they using "video" time effectively.  Our new model will hopefully build on their self-moderation skills as well as encourage students to progress at a proper rate.
